The pharmacy may be able to fill your prescription with the generic version of your prescription. However, they may not be able to offer the generic version if the prescription is labeled “DAW” which stands for "dispense as written."
In this case the pharmacy must fill the prescription as prescribed. We recommend that you speak to your doctor if you would prefer a generic version of your medication.
